Diablo Scorpion Lacrosse Association is a non-profit corporation whose goal is to provide the children of the San Ramon Valley School District (Danville, Alamo and San Ramon, California) the opportunity to learn and play the game of lacrosse. We were established in 2001.
We are a club sponsored program run by volunteers and paid coaches. We have established both girls and boys programs and currently have 18 club teams ranging from Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Our Teams:
BOYS:
Junior – 7th and 8th Grade
Pups - 5th and 6th Grade
PeeWees – 4th Grade
PeeWees, Development – 2nd and 3rd Grade
Bobblehead, K-1st Grade
GIRLS:
Junior A - 7th/8th Grade
Junior B - 5th/6th Grade
Junior D - 4th Grade
We have approximately 450 players in our program in its 7th year. In our first year we had 150 players, in the second 250 players. Our growth has been fueled by the kids desire to play this great game and our success in attracting top notch coaching talent. We are the largest program in the State of California based upon US Lacrosse membership.
Our players generally end up playing lacrosse at the following High Schools: Monte Vista, San Ramon Valley, De LaSalle and Cal High. The head coaches for all these teams also participate as coaches in the Scorpion program.
Our team colors are orange & navy. Our helmets & jerseys are Orange with Blue letters and white trim with blue shorts. Our team mascot is the Scorpion.
Our home fields are Tassajara Hills Elementary School, Diablo Vista Park Turf Field, Blackhawk Soccer field, & Sycamore Turf Fields, which are all in Danville.
Our season will run from Jan - June and we will be holding special clinics for players in the off season (December - February) to allow them to start or continue working on their skills. |
